Imported and Self-Produced Fruit Plants will be Sold by the Horticulture Department

From 15 December onwards the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Department will begin selling improved varieties of imported and self-produced fruit plants.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Horticulture Department stated that these plants are both self-produced and imported in response to horticulturist demand from the United States, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Approximately 3 to 4 lakh grafted and 7-8 lakh clonal apple rootstocks, as well as disease-free pear, peach, plum, cherry, and apricot plant material, would be sold alongside standard winter fruit plants under the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Development Project.
