“Training program on production of Wood apple and Bael” postponed to 23rd August, 2023

New Delhi: It is to bring to the notice of all participants that “Hands-on training on production and processed products of Wood apple and Bael” organized by ICAR-IIHR scheduled to be held on 09.08.2023, has been postponed to 23.08.2023 due to administrative reasons.
Objective of the training
The objective of the training is to provide detailed information about improved varieties, propagation and cultivation of Wood apple and Bael; to impart hands-on training on fruit powder, beverage and other value added products preparation from Wood apple and Bael and utilization of Wood apple shell for making biodegradable value added products.
Prospects of training
Wood apple (Feronia limonia) and Bael (Aegle marmelos) are native to India and are rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and dietary fiber. Fresh ripe pulp of bael is used for preparation of value added products which have high demand due to health benefits. Likewise Wood apple fruits are also used for preparing value added products. Both crops have bright prospects of cultivation in India due to its ability to grow well under the waste land and problematic soil conditions. So, training in this field has a wide scope for startups.

Attending this training programme will benefit you in several ways, as it imparts Hands-on training on preparation of various processed products from Wood apple and Bael fruits which can be taken up as an entrepreneurial activity and a detailed know how on improved varieties, propagation and cultivation aspects to realize high productivity and income.
Eligibilty criteria
All aspiring entrepreneurs including farmers, agricultural and horticultural graduates, Diploma holders in horticulture, professional, SHG women, Homemakers and anybody interested to explore the world of (topic) to generate income and employment or as a hobby are welcome to attend the training programme.
Updated Date, time, venue and fee
Training Fee for the training programme (offline) is ₹ 2,500/- . This fee includes snacks, tea, lunch, certificate & training manual.
Please note, the last date of receipt of application is 08th August, 2023 and training programme will be held on 23rd August, 2023 from 09:00 to 17:30 at Committee Room, Admin Building, ICAR-IIHR.
