Haryana’s two brothers earn success through saffron farming

Hisar: Passion is essential for getting success in life. It doesn’t require any formal education all the time. Here is the success story of two brothers from Hisar, Haryana, Parveen Sindhu and Naveen. Their determination and hard work have made them successful. Parveen, an engineer by profession, quit his job to do something innovative and make a name for himself. Both brothers were not able to decide where to venture or which field to pursue for grand success.

Finally, they decided to explore something new in the horticulture that no one in Haryana had done before. They got an idea to start saffron farming in a small 225-square-foot room. First, they got first-hand knowledge about saffron farming. After the deep study, they brought saffron seeds from Kashmir in 2019 and started its cultivation.

They harvest around 2 kilograms of saffron in this small space from August to November every year. To get a better yield, they adopted all the modern technologies, such as the installation of a chiller to keep the room cool, a humidifier to maintain moisture, and arranging the plants in a way so that they can get proper sunlight easily.

Currently, their saffron is being exported to many countries under the brand name “Amratva.” It is available on store shelves in the USA and UK.

Both the brothers have passion to grow their business further. They are not satisfied with their present success. Therefore, they are actively working on new plans to expand their trade and make their brand a name all over the world.
