Beyond their beauty, roses offer multiple benefits. They are used in skincare, perfumes, and Ayurveda. Rose water is popular for eye care and skincare, while rose oil adds fragrance to cosmetics. Preserved rose petals, such as gulkand (a natural tonic), and dried petals (pankhuri), are used in traditional drinks and desserts. Additionally, rose hips are rich in Vitamin C.
Roses are not just ornamental; their petals can even be used in electronic devices for light-harvesting and anti-reflection purposes. Roses are in high demand as decorative flowers, especially during wedding seasons, making them both a luxury and a practical plant.
The event successfully highlighted the versatility and importance of roses, leaving visitors impressed by their charm and utility.
