Fruit and flower exhibition draws huge crowds

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Fruit and Flower Show-2024, hosted at the Siddhartha Hotel Management College grounds. It concluded on December 26 and has been a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts. The exhibition received an overwhelming response from visitors.

Residents of Vijayawada and nearby areas have been captivated by the vibrant display of flower plants, fruit plants, and a wide variety of trees. The show also features ornamental plants, medicinal plants, and indoor plants, making it a must-visit for gardening enthusiasts.

Nursery managers from across the country, including Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal, have set up stalls, showcasing hybrid vegetables, seeds, and gardening essentials. Organic fertilizers and plant care products are also available, making it a one-stop shop for plant lovers.

The colourful floral arrangements and unique pots on display have drawn significant attention, especially from women and young visitors. The exhibition offers an opportunity to see and purchase rare plants and beautiful vases from across India and beyond.

Visitors have praised the affordability of the plants and the diverse range on offer. Many believe such exhibitions should be organized for a longer duration to allow more people to benefit. One attendee shared, “The variety of flowers and plants here is truly impressive, and the prices are very reasonable.”
