Haryana government provides subsidies to boost horticulture crops

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has been trying to encourage farmers to concentrate more and more on horticulture crops instead of traditional farming. Therefore, the state government is ready to offer a 50% subsidy on various horticultural crops. In view of this, farmers will receive a 40 percent subsidy for establishing mushroom production and compost units.

Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh highlighted that due to the health benefits of mushrooms, their demand in the market is growing. However, lack of knowledge among farmers has limited its production. He urged farmers to adopt mushroom farming under crop diversification to earn better profits.
