Ahmedabad Flower Show ends; saplings available for sale

Ahmedabad: The popular Ahmedabad Flower Show finally came to an end on January 26 (Sunday). It got underway on January 3, and its closing date was January 24, but it was extended on public demand. If you want to decorate your home or office with vibrant flowers, then it is possible because saplings of various flowers are being sold at reasonable prices.

Anyone can purchase such flower seedlings from five noted nurseries in Ahmedabad between 9 am and 1 pm and 2 pm and 6 pm. The sale will continue until January 31. If you want to buy in bulk, then the price range will be from Rs 6 to Rs 150.

These seedlings are available at the following nurseries managed by the Ahmedabad Corporation: Rasala Nursery, Law Garden, Nikol’s Nursery, Nikol, Saurabh Nursery, Naranpura, Vishwa Nursery, Chandkheda, and Science City Nursery.

Several flower plants from the show are also available at affordable prices for the common people; here are their prices: Sevanti sapling – Rs 10, ornamental plant – Rs 20, petunia plant – Rs 20, calancha plant – Rs 20, green road plant – Rs 235, other plants – Rs 10 to Rs 1,000

This year’s flower show enticed more than 13 lakh people, fetching above Rs 8 crore in revenue for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. In the beginning, the closing date of the show was January 24; gradually, the public demand increased, and people from other states also started to visit this flourishing event. Therefore, its closing date was extended for two more days.
