Bhilai gears up to host two-day flower festival
Bhilai: Maitri Bagh in Bhilai is gearing up to host its spectacular annual Flower Show from February 1 to 2. It is an event known for the promotion of gardening and environmental awareness among the people. The grand show is celebrated every year with gaiety. The organizers have arranged some special attractions this time to entice more visitors and make it exciting as well.
Dr. N.K. Jain, the in charge of the Maitri Bagh, said the goal of the flower event is to boost visitors’ interest in gardening, environmental conservation, and greenery. The vibrant flower show is set to underscore the significance of greenery, flower farming, and biodiversity. Grand rangoli will be the biggest attraction this year, getting inspiration from the Mahakumbh. It is expected that 3 lakh people will put their feet in the exhibition, making it one of the biggest flower shows in history.

During the show the visitor can enjoy the remarkable varieties of colourful flowers such as roses, marigolds, dahlias, gerberas, orchids, lilies, oleanders, gulmohars, sunflowers, and many more. Besides this, the bonsai garden, vertical garden, medicinal plants display, and kitchen garden will also feature in this upcoming flourishing event.
Several stalls are ready to be set up for the promotion of organic farming, modern gardening techniques, and flower cultivation methods. People will get a chance to adopt these methods and grow fruits and flowers at their respective houses. Preparations are going on a war footing for making the event unforgettable so that visitors can enjoy their time with natural beauty.
