Nagpur college organizes vibrant floriculture exhibition

Nagpur: Flower festivals are being organized across the country in the ongoing spring. Educational institutions have left no stone unturned in holding floral exhibitions, aiming to boost awareness among the people, especially the younger generation, which needs to be increased. In view of this, Nagpur’s Aakar College of Management for Women recently organized the third edition of the flower expo known as ‘Floret.’

The departments of the college, B.Sc and B.Design, played a significant role in organizing this flourishing show. More than 20 to 30 varieties of native flowers, such as Dracena, Tagetes Erecta, Chrysanthemum, Areca Palm, Coleus Blumei, Coleus Barbatus, Chlorophytum Comosum, and Rose, were displayed. Several dignitaries, including Professor Avinash Deshpande, Director of DDs Academy, and Anil Chaware, Agriculture Officer, were also present on this occasion.

A huge number of visitors thronged to the event to see varieties of flowers that are generally not seen in any nursery. Nature lovers had a wonderful time spending their precious time with their family members and friends in the exhibition and enjoyed the natural beauty. Several stalls were also set up, where experts talked about how to grow flowers on terraces. The presence of a large crow added excitement to the event.

Those who visited the event admired the students’ creativity and their arrangement of flowers. Students from all the departments participated actively and tried their level best to give the best possible results. College staff, including the Chairman and Principal of Aakar Group of Institutions, appreciated the students’ hard work in organizing this festival successfully.
