National Plant a Flower Day brings garden & nature lovers together

New Delhi: Flowers of different colours and species are blooming across the world amid the ongoing spring. Therefore, March 12th is being celebrated worldwide as National Plant a Flower Day. Nature lovers and garden enthusiasts take part with enthusiasm in this special day by planting flowers of different species and creating awareness among people to go for a plantation drive so that the entire year can remain colourful.

Flowers don’t only keep our garden beautiful, but they also help to keep the environment calm. Flowers provide food for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making air quality better, boosting the mood of human beings, and releasing mental pressure.

“Planting flowers is beneficial for both the environment and humans. It boosts the beauty of our surroundings as well as keeps our environment clean and balanced. Flowers serve as a crucial food source for pollinators like bees and butterflies while also promoting mental well-being. Everyone should take the initiative to plant flowers, whether in open spaces or pots. This will make the surroundings more colourful and also increase greenery.”

Anyone can enjoy this day by just planting some flowers in their terrace or any open space. Later, these blooms would be a boon for you. If you don’t have open space, then go for potted gardens, needing more water but are easier to manage. It is essential to choose the right kind of flowers. Some flowers grow in sunlight, and others grow better in shade. Numerous flowers such as black-eyed Susans, coneflowers, and lavender always attract pollinators and need less care. Pick such flowers that suit your space.

Flower gardening is a healthy hobby for people of all ages. It is a wonderful activity for relaxation. Everyone should take part actively and encourage others to bloom more and more flowers. Therefore, on the occasion of March 12, everyone should take part in plantation activity and bring more colours into the environment.
