The gigantic flower show turned special in 2025 when it created the ‘largest flower bouquet,’ which is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records due to its size and measurements.
This is the legacy of the Ahmedabad flower show: to present something unique every year. Interestingly, last year it secured the world record for the creation of the longest flower wall.The record was officially recognized on January 7, 2025, by the Guinness World Records team. It broke the previous record of a 7.7-meter bouquet made by the Al Ain Municipality in the UAE.
The city’s Deputy Mayor accepted the award at a special event.This is the second year in a row that the Flower Show earned a Guinness World Record. Last year, it set a record for the longest flower wall, which measured 221 meters and beat the earlier record of 166.15 meters.The Flower Show was held at the Sabarmati Riverfront and ended on January 22.
This year’s show featured over 1 million flowers from more than 50 species, including exotic ones like roses, lilies, and orchids. The event was divided into six zones with themes like culture and heritage, sustainability, and future vision. Visitors used QR code-based audio guides in multiple languages to learn more about the displays.
The show was a major attraction for Ahmedabad and drew millions of visitors, gaining fame both in India and internationally.
