Ahmedabad gears up to organize Flower Show 2025

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad is fully prepared to host the much-anticipated Flower Show 2025; the vibrant event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday. The event would have started on January 1, but it was partially postponed due to the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The event is to be held on the western side of the Sabarmati Riverfront.

This year’s show will include imitations of a lotus garba dancer, an Olympic torch, a peacock, and popular characters like Hulk, Doraemon, and Kung Fu Panda. Gandhiji’s three monkeys are specially designed to be displayed in the event along with a tribute sculpture titled ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.’

Visitors have a chance to see the Night Flower Park for the first time, where dazzling structures have been prepared across 4,500 square meters at a cost of Rs 3 crore. The visitors timing will start from 8:30 am to 9 pm; meanwhile, VIPs’ timing would be from 9 am to 10 am and 10 pm to 11 pm. The price of the ticket for this year is Rs 70 on weekdays and Rs 100 on weekends, with free entry for children under 12. However, the entry fee for a VIP ticket is Rs 500.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has been organizing the Flower Show every year since 2013. Overall, AMC spent Rs 15 crore on the event this year; last year, the total amount spent was Rs 11.44 crore. Besides the Flower Show, CM Patel will also start the Tree Census programme, which was conducted last time in 2012.
