Air quality deteriorates in Delhi again

New Delhi: Poor air quality and high pollution levels in Delhi have hit the headlines on a regular basis this winter. Residents of the national capital have been deprived of fresh air since September 2024. The air quality remains in the ‘poor or ‘very poor’ category most of the time, despite all the efforts made by the Centre and Delhi government. It seems their combined efforts failed to bring any respite from the toxic air.

Grap stages were imposed in the city to keep the environment of Delhi-NCR green. Grap stages I to IV frequently change as per the situation. Impose, reimpose, and revoke are the common words being used in journalistic writing. Delhiites awoke on Thursday (January 21) morning with some improvement in the air quality of the ‘very poor’ category compared to the previous morning.
