Bahraich farmers to get benefit from MIDH scheme

Bahraich: The National Agriculture Development Programme will now be replaced by the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) in Bahraich. Under this new mission, several new projects will take place regarding the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and spices to boost the horticultural crops in the district. The mission will encourage farmers to diversify their farming practices and move towards high-value horticultural crops that can improve their income and boost the local economy.

District Horticulture Officer Dinesh Chaudhary said that currently, no specific target has been set yet for the financial year 2025–26. But all the preparations are in the process to promote the mission among interested farmers. Farmers will get support for various horticulture-related projects under the MIDH scheme.
