New Delhi: Flowers are in huge demand everywhere. Horticulture business is therefore, very profitable for all farmers. Seeing the significant increment in the income, farmers are inclining more towards cultivating flowers like rose and marigold. Considering these flowers as cash crops, Bihar government is also taking initiatives to encourage farmers to grow more of these crops.

CM Nitish Kumar has brought many monetary benefits to attract more farmers to flower business. His government has launched the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission scheme to give exceptional subsidies to the farmers cultivating flowers. According to the Directorate of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture, Bihar, total of 70% subsidy is being given on marigold cultivation under the scheme and one can apply online at https://t.co/YMKKKvCXul

A unit cost of 40 thousand per hectare has been fixed by the Bihar government for the cultivation of marigold. That concludes that with 70 percent of subsidy, the state government will provide 28 thousand rupees for free to the farmers.
