Bihar govt launches ‘Beej Masale Yojana’ to help small farmers

Patna: Both the central and state governments have been running various schemes to support the horticulture farmers. The Bihar government is not behind in the promotion of this sector. In this regard, the Nitish government has launched the Beej Masale Yojana 2024-25 to help small and economically weaker farmers in the state. Farmers who are growing coriander and fenugreek will be helped with a subsidy under this scheme.

The Bihar government has decided to provide up to 50% financial support to farmers’ for growing coriander and fenugreek under this scheme. This step is taken, aiming to make the farmers economically strong as well as surge the production of these crops. It is expected subsidy will be provided at around 30,000 rupees per hectare. Currently, the demand for coriander and fenugreek has gone up due to their medicinal values.

Farmers need to visit the official website of the Directorate of Horticulture and then apply online. There, you have to select the Beej Masale Yojana option; after that, go to the link and fill up the forms with care, then register for the scheme.

Besides this, you can also visit the nearest agriculture or horticulture department office to seek assistance and apply for the scheme in person.
