Bihar’s nursery offers 40 varieties of mango saplings

Samastipur: Bihar is famous all over the country for massive cultivation of different kinds of mangoes. Currently, new varieties are being launched in the state so that farmers can fetch more income. Tek Narayan’s nursery, located near the Rosra bus stand in Samastipur district, has at least 40 different types of mango saplings. The price of each plant is nominal, starting at Rs 150.

Currently, Kanchan, Bathua, Ravi, Amrapali, Gulab Khas, White Malda, Dussehri, Langra, Chaunsa, and many more varieties are available. Sowing mango saplings will be fun because farmers who sow the plant this year are likely to get delicious mangoes next year. Therefore, they don’t need to wait several years for getting the fruit.

Tek Narayan, who has been running this nursery since 2010, shared his views on the growth of mango. He added that he has built a strong relationship with his customers. Several people are my regular customers because they buy saplings from his nursery and earn good profits. Some of the saplings, if planted now, will start producing fruit by the next year.
