Central Railway emerges victorious at 14th horticulture expo
New Delhi: Central Railway once again emerged victorious at the 14th Annual Tree, Flower, Fruit & Vegetable Show 2025 held at Raymond Race Track, Thane. Thane Municipal Corporation Tree Authority & Horticulture Department organized the event, displaying more than 200 species of plants and flowers. Thousands of visitors thronged to see the vibrant exhibition. Central Railway performed splendidly and bagged first prize in two categories, such as overall performance and seasonal plant growth in containers.
They succeeded in achieving five second prizes in categories like Foliage Plants in Pots, Flowering Plants in Pots, Seasonal Cut Flowers, Aromatic Plants, and Landscape on the Spot. Besides this, they secured third position in various sections like Mass Displays for Sunny and Shady Situations, Cactus & Bromeliads, Orchids, and Roses.

Central Railway’s achievements continued at the 62nd Annual Vegetable, Fruits & Flower Show 2025, organized by the National Society of Friends of the Trees at DG Ruparel College, Mumbai. Here, they secured the Runner-Up Championship Trophy for Overall Performance.
They also won the Dr. Chandrakant Salunke Rolling Trophy for Runner-Up, the D.A. Rode Rolling Trophy for Best Garden (awarded for the GM Bungalow garden), and the Friends of Trees Rolling Trophy for the Badhawar Park garden. Other notable awards included the Palekar & Company Rolling Trophy for Mass Display of Shady Situation and the Thea C. Shroff Rolling Trophy for Fruits & Vegetables Grown in Containers.
Both shows were a grand success, featuring over 5000 saplings in categories like indoor, outdoor, medicinal, aromatic, orchid, and bonsai plants. With these remarkable achievements, Central Railway continues to lead in promoting greenery and sustainability through its dedication to horticulture.
