Centre launches digital platform to boost nurseries, horticulture products
New Delhi: The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare is adamant about bringing a horticulture revolution to the country by providing several facilities to farmers, such as quality saplings, materials, and guidance, with an aim to enhance productivity nationwide. As part of this initiative, the Ministry has launched an ‘Online Digital Platform’ for nurseries in India. This platform will enable farmers, growers, and other stakeholders to easily access information about the availability of quality planting material in nearby locations.
The ministry has left no stone unturned in providing financial assistance through its various schemes for setting up nurseries and in the advancement of the horticulture sector to boost productivity. The goal is to establish a nationwide network of quality nurseries dedicated to the propagation, multiplication, and distribution of horticulture crop planting material.
