Heavy gales and wind along with rains due to the impact of cyclone Asani damaged around 500 hectares of banana, arecanut, papaya and mango orchards in Kurnool and Anantapur districts. Total damage has been estimated to be ₹12.12 crore in Nandyal, Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai districts. Immediate payment of compensation has been demanded by the CPI.
Avenue trees were also uprooted on the state highway between Anantapur and Taddipatri. Power lines were also damaged in Rayadurg and Kalyandurg because of the cyclone.
