Delhi Blooms Bright, Tulip Festival Celebrates Spring time Splendor

Delhi: The vibrant hues of spring are painting the landscape as the second edition of the 12-Day Tulip Festival commences, hosted by New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). captivating visitors with a breathtaking display of nature’s beauty. Running until February 21, 2024, this year’s festival promises an even grander spectacle, featuring an impressive showcase of 200,000 tulips in myriad colors.

The Tulip Festival in Delhi showcase Tulip in eight colors, which include white, yellow, red, pink, orange, purple, black, and yellow-red, strategically planted in parks, lawns and roundabouts to captivate on looks.

Held in a sprawling garden adorned with meticulously arranged blooms, the festival offers a mesmerizing journey through rows upon rows of tulips, each variety meticulously cultivated to perfection. From traditional favorites like vibrant reds and sunny yellows to rare and exotic hues, there is a kaleidoscope of colors to delight every visitor.

For this festival approximately 300,000 tulip bulbs were sourced from the Netherland, with 100,000 allocated to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The Dutch embassy generally contributed 40,000 bulbs enhancing the city landscape. Last year, NDMC has also planted around 130,000 tulip bulbs.
