On this occasion Dhanuka launched a specially curated product portfolio for apple growers, addressing key issues like apple scab, red mites, and premature leaf fall. A standout product, MIYAKO—a cutting-edge miticide from Japan’s Nissan Chemicals—was launched to control spider mite infestations.
Experts emphasized that it is essential to use chemical-free pesticides, which is ideal for the environment as well; integrated pest management and technology transfer can play a significant role in increasing the productivity of apples in Kashmir. Besides this, discussion also took place on high-density planting, drone spraying, pheromone traps, and so on.
Dr. Agarwal went on to say that the time has come to change the word “poor farmer” to “wealthy farmer” with the help of advanced farming, innovative techniques, and partnerships. Dhanuka has associated with ICAR and 15 agri-universities during the event, highlighting its obligation for the welfare of farmers.
