It was a great pleasure for INA and Paridhi Art Group to host Respected Kamalini and Nalini Asthana ji, Kathak dancer duo (sisters) from Agra on their recognition and honour by Padmashri Award in 2022. They are known for their great performances of the Benaras Gharana style of Kathak. The duo sisters’ Guru , Jitendra Maharaj ji was also present. Rama Pandey ji, a very well known theatre personality also graced the occasion. During the program, the sisters were the source of inspiration for everyone and motivated people to pursue the art they love and also appealed to make the society better for all through their respective art.
The event took place at Greenways Nursery on 24th April 2022. From INA, Mr. Y.P Singh (President), Mr. Mukesh Sharma (Treasurer), Mr. Rajeev Suri (Honorary Director PR), Mr. AK Rao (Joint Secretary, Haryana), Mr. Nityanand Tiwari, Mr. Nirmul Vaid (Paridhi Art Group) were there at the event. Mr. Rajmohan (a singer from The Netherlands) presented a song to honour them.
Various prominent people graced the occasion with their presence. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ganesh Maharaj ji, Mrs Rama Singh, ex-director BBC Hindi, Dr Ashwani Asthana, Dr Archana Asthana (archaeologists), Kathak Dancer Vijai Lakshmi, Guru Ashok Maharaj ji from Mumbai had also been present there in the ceremony. Besides this, Ramesh Kumar Commander, BSF, Adv Abhilasha, Nihal Singh, Asst. Professor Adarsh Singh also registered their presence at the event. Many journalists were also present there like Qazi Ragiv, Vasu and Vaibhav.
Many senior artists from the Paridhi Art Group were also present there like Prince Chand, Kamal Devnath, Rashmi Malhotra, Biplob Dutta, Naseer, Rajesh Rawat, Anamika Kundwani, Shivani Sharma, Beena, Manjeet Kaur, Jatin Chaudhary, Mahua Sinha, Hariom Kuthwaria, Sutapa Majumdar, Harinmoy, Dr Neelu Sharma, Ravindra Tomer and Dr Gauri Srivastava also attended the ceremony.
The program was a success.
