Garden Tourism Festival to unfold at Garden of Five Senses from Feb 21

New Delhi: The national capital is set to welcome the arrival of spring with the 37th Garden Tourism Festival. The event is scheduled to take place at the Garden of Five Senses from February 21 to 23. It is being organized by Delhi Tourism with the theme of “Happiness and Health with Horticulture.” The event will be unveiled for the tourists from 11 am to 8 pm.

The much-awaited exhibition for the garden, florists and nature lovers will display numerous plants and flowers, especially tray gardens and potted plants and others, across 20 acres, providing a great opportunity for the visitors to witness such a huge number of horticulture products in one place. The event is expected to increase awareness among the people of Delhi.

Competitions among the 32 categories will be the key features of the exhibition, where florists, gardening lovers, and professionals are gearing up to turn up with their expertise to attract the visitors. The event will exhibit a wide range of greenery, such as hanging baskets, medicinal plants, and so on.

As per Ajay Kaushik, Deputy Director of Horticulture (Delhi Tourism), the festival aims to promote environmental awareness. “By growing plants at home, on balconies, or terraces, families can enjoy chemical-free vegetables, fresh air, and better health,” he said.

Several government departments like NDMC, CPWD, DJB, DDA, PWD, Northern Railway, Delhi University, and Delhi Airport are being supported for the successful organization of the event.

Visitors get a chance to visit different stalls to see the modern gardening tools, fertilizers, and plant sales at the expo. The festival is expected to be a grand success due to a vibrant flower and plant showcase, scientifically planned plant arrangements, experts’ advice, and many more.
