GJU Hisar outshines others, bags 20 prizes in Chrysanthemum Flower Show

Hisar: The Chrysanthemum Flower Show and Competition was held recently at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Several participants took part in this competition. The Department of Horticulture from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, emerged victorious for its exceptional performance in several categories. The participants of the department received a total of 20 prizes across various competitions. The winners on Monday met with the university’s VC, Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, and shared their achievements.

Prof. Bishnoi praised the winners, stating that their achievements have brought pride to the university. He emphasized that GJUST continues to advance the principles of Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, focusing on environmental and spiritual values. On this occasion the Registrar of the university, Prof. Vinod Chhokar, was also present.

The university’s Department of Horticulture achieved six first prizes, nine second prizes, and five third prizes in different categories. First Prize Winners: Mohit Kumar (Chrysanthemum and Foliage Plants), Asharam (Flower Management), Satyawan (Potted Palms), Pankaj (Chrysanthemum Large Flowers), and Rohtash (Dry Flowers).

Second Prize Winners: Mohit Kumar (Flower Arrangement), Sanjay Kumar (Cactus and Small Flowers), Munna Lal (Many Large Flowers), Rajesh Kumar (Single Flowers), Ankit Sharma (Foliage Plants), Satyawan (Dry Flowers), Subhash Chandra (Potted Palms), and Mohit Kumar (Marigold).

Third Prize Winners: Sanjay (Plants), Ankit Sharma (Cactus Plants), Mohit Kumar (Small Flowers), Ramdhari (Foliage), and Rajesh Kumar (Flower Arrangement).

The remarkable performance unveiled the commitment of the university’s Horticulture Department in the acceleration of floriculture, encouraging others to venture into this sector.
