Rose cultivation is very important not only for the farmers of the country but also from the point of view of export. Tips for Growing a Rose Plant in a Container:
1. Choice of Container or Pot:
Choose the container for rose plant needs, 12-inch (30.5 cm.) Large hybrids and tree roses should be planted in containers measuring 18 inches (45.7 cm) or larger. One thing to be kept in mind is that the container should have good drainage
Use a lightweight container If you want to change the position or area of your rose plant, a plastic container will work well.
2. Soil for Roses:
To grow a rose in a pot, you can do the following combinations to make soil for the rose plant
Garden soil 50%, compost khad 30%, sand 20%, Neem cake powder 10%, and Bonemeal 10%

The best fertilizer for rose plant is organic manure like cow dung mineral, vermicompost, etc. Roses need a lot of nutrients. If you use too much chemical fertilizer, the rose plant gets damaged, you can fertilize the rose plants in 15 days.

6. Easiest DIY Fertilizer: If the plant is drying up then do these things-
Although the rose plant grows very easily, it may also happen that it starts drying up and its leaves turn black. In this case, you can make a DIY fertilizer that can be applied to plants.
What to do?
Take dry cow dung and peels of some citrus fruits like oranges etc. and keep it in 1 bucket of water for 2-3 days. After this, you mix that water with some more clean water and pour it into your rose plants and you can also sprinkle it on the leaves with the help of a spray bottle. You can do this once a week and you will see how the rose plants are starting to bloom.
7. Some Care for Planting Roses:
Place the pot in a place that can get full sunlight, rose needs at least 7 hours of sun daily.
• On very hot days, water should be given in the pot twice a day ie once in the afternoon and once in the evening.
• Check soil moisture before re-watering. Plant your finger in the top inch (2.5 cm.) of soil. If the soil feels dry, your rose is in urgent need of water.
• Avoid wetting the foliage during watering, as it invites diseases.
• Spread mulch over the soil surface an inch, especially in the form of small bark chips, will trap moisture in the container and prevent it from evaporating. Mulch also helps discourage weed growth. Remove the mulch at the beginning of the rainy season;
• You can use a balanced liquid fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer every two weeks at that point. Water should not be forgotten 6 hours before and immediately after planting.
• Rose plant has thorns, so it can prick. Don’t forget to use gloves if you wish.
• Don’t forget to prune your roses a month before the flowering season. The purpose of pruning is to maintain the attractive shape of your rose and encourage good flowering. You can decide your extent according to the growth and desired size of the plant. Generally, pruning to 1/3 to 2/3rd of the original size is recommended. Remove all dead, dying, thin or weak canvases during pruning.
• Every spring, put a tablespoon of Epson salt around the rose plant. Sprinkle salt around the base of the plant to provide an extra dose of magnesium to encourage foliage growth.
