Gujarat CM unveils vibrant flower show in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a vibrant International Flower Show 2025 at the Sabarmati Riverfront on Friday. The dazzling show is set to remain open till January 22 for the visitors, as per the government release. A huge number of people thronged to see the show today; it is expected that the total number of visitors will increase this year compared to last year.

Last year more than 20 lakh visitors set their feet in the event. The 400-meter flower wall was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records last year for its remarkable display. People from across the neighbouing states are likely to visit the flower show.

The Ahmedabad flower show got underway in 2013 at Sabarmati Riverfront when Narendra Modi was the state’s chief minister of Gujarat. There are six zones in the ongoing flower show, featuring more than 10 lakh flowers of 50 species.

As per the release, in Zone 1, several flower sculptures in the shape of elephants, lotuses, arches, and canopy clusters, as well as the Konark Chakra, have been depicted, which are enticing children. Meanwhile, Zone 2 depicts the sculptures of tigers, peacocks, greater flamingos, sable camels, and Asiatic lions, and Zone 3 reflects India’s global leadership in addressing challenges such as global warming and climate change.

The entry fee for the show is Rs 100 on Saturdays and Sundays and Rs 70 from Monday to Friday, as per the official website.
