Haryana CM announces ‘Horticulture College’ in Naraingarh
Karnal: The Haryana government has been trying its best to promote the horticulture sector in the state so that farmers can switch from traditional farming to much more lucrative horticulture crops. This would increase their income as well. In view of this, Haryana Chief Minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini on Monday announced the setting up of a horticulture college in the Naraingarh assembly constituency to boost education among the youth.
With this establishment, students will get a chance to learn about horticulture, and in the future they will help to make more and more farmers aware to grow fruits and vegetables and become economically strong. The CM went on to say that for the benefit of the sugarcane farmers of this region, a cooperative sugar mill will also be established in this region.

The horticulture college is set to affiliate with the prestigious Maharana Pratap Horticulture University (MPHU), Karnal, which is known for providing world-class education and research opportunities in the horticulture sector to the youngsters of this region. This initiative by the state will definitely accelerate the horticulture production in the state in the coming years.
Saini laid the foundation stone of 10 development projects in the Naraingarh constituency, worth Rs 43.28 crore, including the establishment of the regional Horticulture Research Center at Chandsoli village under MPHU, Karnal.
