Horticulture Takes Center Stage at India International Horti Expo 2024, Promises Growth in Nursery Industry
New Delhi: The India International Horti Expo was organized to promote the horticulture industry under the aegis of the Indian Nurserymen’s Association. This exhibition was inaugurated by Ganesh Joshi, Agriculture Minister of Uttarakhand Government. Addressing the inaugural session, he said that, looking at this Horti Expo today, it seems that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward in the field of horticulture and agriculture. He further said that today Uttarakhand is a 34% organic state. And is continuously working to promote horticulture.
On behalf of the Indian Nurserymen Association, Uttarakhand Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi was welcomed by giving him plants and bouquets made of flowers grown in nurseries. In this program, the President of the Indian Nurserymen Association, YP Singh said that Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi, and the whole world gets the blessings of Devbhoomi. But the Nurserymen Association has received the blessings of the Minister. YP Singh further said in his address that with the arrival of the Agriculture Minister of Uttarakhand, the problem of nurserymen there will end.
‘India International Horti Expo 2024’ will run for three days
The Horti Expo has been organized from 22 to 24 February. This three-day long exhibition was inaugurated today i.e. on Thursday. It is being organized at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The main theme of the exhibition has been kept as horticulture and nursery industry, but other areas related to it have also been included in it.
Stalls from different states
More than 100 exhibitors are setting up their stalls at the Horti Expo and showcasing their nursery products and other related items/equipment. Horticulture departments of all the states of the country have also set up stalls here. Around 5000 nurserymen are participating in it. Along with this, about 10 subject-expert scholar speakers will present lectures on different subjects in various seminars.
The nursery industry will get a boost
The organizers are confident that the three-day India International Horti Expo will play an important role in promoting the nursery industry. This event will help in the development of the rural horticulture industry and urban horticulture industry. Indian Nurserymen’s Association has been organizing such programs from time to time to encourage the horticulture industry.
