ICAR-IIHR meet aims to connect horticulture industry and research

Bengaluru: ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru, under the guidance of the IP&TM Unit, ICAR, New Delhi, is set to organize the “2nd ICAR-IIHR Industry Meet-2024” on October 24, 2024, in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Horticulture and BESST-HORT in Bengaluru. The purpose of the meeting is to end the gap between industry and research institutions. The combination of both is essential for the grand success in the horticulture sector.

The event will provide a platform to share the visions of industry and research for the promotion of horticulture across the nation. The event is likely to address the challenges that the industry is facing while refining research activities at institutions to better align with industrial needs.

Noted speakers from government organizations and industry leaders will focus on the key areas in the horticulture sector. Representatives from industries, entrepreneurs, officials from line departments, technology incubators, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), and self-help groups (SHGs) will take part in the event.
