 Late. Shri. Palla Venkanna was a visionary nurseryman. With love and care, he nurtured plants and the plants, in turn, nurtured him.  Poverty didn’t stop him. Disability didn’t deter him. He was a messiah to the nursery people.

He was a nurseryman who painstakingly built a successful enterprise. His system of maintenance was very effective generated employment and taught the latest techniques in horticulture to the nurserymen. For his immense contribution, he was awarded by Arjan Dass Aggarwal Lifetime Achievement Award, Trend Setter of Nursery Industry Award, Mother Teresa Award, Rajeev Gandhi Excellency Award & many more.

He was an ideal for the youth because of his hard work and will remain so because of his remarkable & memorable services.

On June 29, 2022, the bronze statue of Late Shri Palla Venkanna was unveiled and many eminent personalities were present along with the president of the Indian Nurserymen Association, Shri. Y.P Singh.  Speaking of Venkanna ji he said that Venkanna ji worked miraculously for the nursery sector. Besides nursery, he is well known for his other like building charitable trusts, providing basic facilities to needy people, building schools, and bridges and doing humanitarian work.

INA will carry his legacy and will follow the path that he has shown.
