IMC to get green zone in Pologround area

Bhopal: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has unveiled an exciting project, aiming to improve the environment and make the city more beautiful and expand the green zone. The state government is looking to develop a large garden and pond in the Pologround area on 12.88 hectares of land. This new venture is set to make the city greener and provide a peaceful atmosphere for the residents of the city.

Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma, along with Additional Municipal Commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar and other officials, on Wednesday went to inspect the site. Verma shared that the project will include a spacious garden, a pond, a dedicated yoga center, and walking pathways.

Japanese methods of growing dense forest, the Miyawaki tree plantation technique, are expected to be adopted by the administration to create jungle in a short span of time. It will boost the green areas in the city and balance the environment as well.

The IMC is set to leave no stone unturned in turning Indore into a green haven for the residents. This project is expected to contribute to environmental sustainability while offering a relaxing space for citizens.

Officials have been instructed to prepare a blueprint for timely execution of the project. The effort is a part of developing Indore cleaner and greener for the people of the city.
