INA celebrates Children’s Day with plant parenting activities
Gurgaon: The Indian Nurserymen Association celebrated Children’s Day on Monday with an exciting “Plant Parenting” event at Educrest International School, Gurgaon, at 1:30 pm. The event was planned to introduce children to taking an interest in plants, boosting their curiosity in nature and transmitting the knowledge of plants and how to care for them.
Plant parenting is a practical activity that children find both fun along with education. It helps young kids learn about the specific needs of plants, such as sunlight, water, and nutrients, and teaches them how to care for plants properly. Watching the growth of plants under their care provides children with a sense of joy. This experience will give an encouragement to children to develop understanding and responsibility about the care of the plants and other living things.
Through this event, the association aimed to motivate children to connect with nature and understand the role of plants in our environment. Children were given first-hand lessons on how to water plants, get enough sunlight, and how to protect them from harm. By engaging in these tasks, children learnt about nurture and respect the environment around them.
The Indian Nurserymen Association offered a fun and meaningful way for young participants to gain important skills like patience and responsibility for the environment while enjoying the beauty of nature. Events like this make plant parenting a rewarding experience for children.
