INA President YP Singh honoured in Jal Prahari Samaroh

New Delhi: A grand ceremony for the Jal Prahari Samaroh 2024 was held in the national capital on Wednesday. Several eminent personalities attended the event, including Union Minister of Jal Shakti, CR Patil, as the chief guest. During the programme, the Ministry of Jal Shakti honoured INA President YP Singh in the Jal Prahari Samaroh for his contributions to water conservation, horticulture, and nurseries.

INA has been actively promoting greenery and raising awareness among people across the country. This year, INA played a significant role in the Jal Prahari Samaroh and worked as their green partner.

In his speech, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Rajbhushan Choudhary, stressed the importance of water conservation. He further added that several areas have been facing water scarcity. He also emphasized that farmland water should remain in the fields, preserving resources for future generations.

In this ceremony, numerous people from all over the country were awarded for their significant contributions to water conservation. This year, projects focusing on water conservation and community participation were given priority in the selection process.

Speaking at the event, Pratap Sarangi, MP (Lok Sabha) and member of the Standing Committee (Water Resources), said that several natural water sources have gone missing and stressed the importance of water conservation and the protection of water-filtering plants.

The Jal Prahari Samman always encourages individuals and organisations to take firm steps toward sustainable water management and conservation, because water is the lifeline, and everyone is depending on it. Therefore, it is essential to save it for a secure future for all.
