Inauguration of Rudraksh Forest Establishment by Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji on the Occasion of New Year
Keeping in mind the sustainable, inclusive and green development goal, Paramarth Niketan aims to establish Rudraksh forest in Uttarkashi district. Thousands of Rudraksh plants were planted last year also and on the occasion of new year, eight thousand plants were planted in the first batch. On the occasion, there was also discussion on farmer clusters, advanced agriculture and seeds to increase income source of farmers so that they can feed their families properly, educate their children. On the occasion, there was also a discussion on nursery construction so that tourists coming here get plants of different species as offering and locals get employment.
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami was also very impressed by this scheme. He said that it is very important for the diagnosis of mountain-like problems of people living on the mountain.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji said that concrete global efforts are required for climate change. For sustainable development each individual and nation needs to prioritize their green goals and carefully implement various schemes, programs according to local challenges, capabilities and resources available.
Swami ji said that 7 percent of global forests have been destroyed in recent years. Recent assessments indicate that over ten million species could be extinct forever over the next few decades. Also, climate change is a major problem. The current situation is clear that improving balance between nature and humans is a way to slow the pace of climate change and reduce future infectious outbreaks.
Our biodiversity also acts as a sustainable source of spiritual upliftment, which is closely linked to our physical and mental well-being. In order to maintain a balanced relationship between human and nature, the relationship between the conservation of natural assets and social welfare and promote nature-based solutions.

Few years ago, the suicides of farmers in Maharashtra shocked the whole country but under the leadership of Shri Mayank Gandhi, planting millions of plants increased the income of farmers and farmers are living happily.
