India International Horti Expo-25 kicks off in Greater Noida

Noida: The much-anticipated India International Horti Expo-25 has got underway in Greater Noida, bringing together top industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts. This three-day mega exhibition, running from March 20 to March 22 at the India Expo Center and Mart, is organized by Pixie, an Exponedia company. Experience the latest advancements in horticulture, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable farming solutions—all under one roof.

The expo aims to boost the horticulture, floriculture, and nursery sectors across India. The event began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. YP Singh, President of the Indian Nurserymen Association, along with other members Mukul Tyagi, Rafik Khan, Rakesh Yadav, Mukesh Sharma, and Ghalib Khan, performed the ritual.

Several CEOs and dignitaries were present at the event and were welcomed with potted plants and patka (traditional scarves). International guests also attended the expo and expressed their enthusiasm for India’s horticulture industry.

Ali Abdul, First Secretary of Iraq, was among the prominent foreign dignitaries. He showed great interest in India’s horticulture sector and, while speaking to the media, said that he is keen to bring horticulture companies from Iraq to participate in next year’s event in India.

He further added that “India and Iraq have historical relations.” He hoped that Iraqi companies would get space in India, which would strengthen the relationship between the two nations.

Another foreign dignitary, Juan Manuel Velasco from Spain, was present on the occasion. He received a warm welcome and was presented with a flower pot along with a traditional patka. He is currently working at the Spanish Embassy in India as a Counsellor of Agriculture and Horticulture.

Speaking exclusively with Nursery Today, he said that horticulture development in both countries is similar. He further added that there is a need for expansion in the horticulture, landscaping, and floriculture sectors.

“It is our duty to boost the horticulture sector, and for this, both nations need to work together. Our priority should be organic farming and sustainable agriculture,” he emphasized.

A large number of stalls from all over the country have been set up. Visitors are coming in large numbers and enjoying the exhibition. People from all walks of life, along with nature lovers, are exploring different stalls, taking a lot of interest, and gaining knowledge from experts about the plantation of saplings. A lot of purchasing is also taking place at the exhibition.

The expo displays innovations, technologies, and business opportunities in horticulture and is expected to attract large participation from across India and abroad in coming days.
