Jammu University bags top honours at cut flower competition
Kashmir: Jammu University bagged the top honours in the Annual Cut Flower Competition and floriculture exhibition. The event took place at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM). Apart from winning the top position, the university also remained in the second spot in Artistic Flower Arrangement and received the third spot in the Garden and Lawn categories. The event was held to create awareness among the people regarding the significance of flowers in our lives.
The Department of Arboriculture and Landscaping, Jammu University, organized a special event on Saturday to celebrate the performance of the university. The dedicated team of the university got appreciation for their hard work and was handed a trophy for their remarkable performance.

Professor Piyush Malviya, the convener of the department, appreciated the team’s dedication and creativity, which played a key role in securing these awards. He also expressed enthusiasm for participating in future competitions and further enhancing the department’s achievements.
The presence of distinguished members of the Arboriculture Committee, including Professor Parmil Kumar, Professor Sanjana Kaul, and Dr. Hema Gandotra, graced the event. Their presence inspired all who were present during the event.
