Kathmandu gears up to organize 26th floral expo from March 14

Kathmandu: Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, is gearing up to host the 26th Flora Expo 2025 from March 14 to 17 at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall. The three-day event is being organized by the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), Jwagal, Lalitpur. This annual event entices people from all walks of life, especially nature lovers and gardening enthusiasts.

FAN has left no stone unturned in promoting floriculture in Nepal by organizing several activities such as training, workshops, trade fairs, and exhibitions. The association has been hosting numerous national and international flora expos since 1994, including 15 regional flora expos in Pokhara, 5 in Dharan, and 3 international flora expos. However, the annual Flora Expo in Bhrikutimandap has made its name in Nepal’s floriculture calendar.

During the event, several promotional activities are expected to take place, including: Advertisements in national newspapers and media, distribution of banners, pamphlets, and posters, promotion via TV, FM radio, and social media.

The expo will feature a flower competition, where the best exhibitors will be awarded in different categories, including Best Stall, Best Landscape, Best Ornamental Flower, Best Seasonal Flower, Best Plant, Best Flower Arrangement, Plant Containers, and Packaging Materials. The winners will receive cash prizes, trophies, and certificates during the opening ceremony.

For the successful conduct of the event, FAN will provide counselling services and special guidance for foreign visitors. Additionally, a Nepalese Floriculture book featuring articles on floriculture development and technology will be published.

The 26th Flora Expo 2025 is expected to be an exciting event for nature lovers as well as industry professionals alike.
