Several organizations and societies related to nurseries and horticulture were featured in the exhibition. Foxtail Orchid (Kopou), Assam’s state flower, rhododendrons, and Himalayan cherry blossoms stole the show because their products attracted the visitors most. Several flowers, such as lotus, chrysanthemum, and bougainvillea, further excited the event amid their beauty and glamour.
However, medicinal plants attracted the visitors most because these days’ people are suffering from several diseases. They want a cure through natural treatment. Crowds thronged to neem, tulsi, and turmeric flowers and took keen interest in their advantages. “The diversity here is incredible,” said Anna Muller, a German tourist. “Each flower tells a story, and the knowledge preserved about medicinal plants is extraordinary.”
The festival was not only the showcase of nature, but it showed Assam’s rich heritage in the flora to the entire world, making it more interesting for the plant and nature lovers.
