Making Selfie Points in Park Using Trash

Decorative items made from waste are luring people in Ghaziabad. The Municipal Corporation has made selfie points out of plastic in 20 parks in the city. Old tires and empty bottles have been installed in the parks. Empty drums and brooms are painted and kept in the parks. The city is generating 1200 metric tonnes of garbage daily. The municipal corporation has to face a lot of problems in the disposal of garbage. Segregation of dry, wet and plastic waste is being done. The waste is being disposed of in different ways. The corporation is working on many schemes to make the city beautiful under the Swachh Bharat Mission. In this, a campaign is being run to make the best of the waste. Under this, attractive items made of waste have been installed in the main squares and places of the city. Selfie points have been made in many places. Small saplings from empty bottles, plastic cans, drums and tyres have been planted in the parks. These have been used for the beauty of the parks. With this, along with the cleanliness, the beauty of the park is also increasing.
There is an appeal to the people to use only old items in their homes.
Making bags from hoardings
Banner flex hoardings put up illegally in the city are bringing disrepute to the city. The corporation has started removing them. The work of making bags from their flakes has started. Two dozen sacks have been made in Ward-9 of City Zone. Bags are also being prepared for other zones. The corporation will give sacks to the people coming to the vegetable market, so that polythene is not used. In future also the illegally thrown flakes will be used to make bags.
