During a review meeting, LG Saxena emphasized the need to reduce air pollution caused by road dust, which is one of the biggest contributors to pollution in Delhi. After recent rains, silt and debris left on the roads have been causing dust to spread, worsening the pollution problem.
Broken roads, clogged drains, and sewer overflows have led to large amounts of mud and silt gathering on the streets and sidewalks. To address this, the LG has ordered all agencies to clear the dust and properly dispose silt and debris.
