Mumbai gears up to host 28th Flower Show and Horticulture Workshop

Mumbai: Mumbai is gearing up to host the much-awaited 28th Flower Show organized by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Tree Authority. The event is set to be held at Ranibaug from January 31 to February 2, 2025. The forthcoming event is set to be a treat for the nature lovers as well as people from all age groups. The event promises to provide a chance to the visitors to see some absorbing varieties of flowers.

Besides the flower show, one more event will also take place later. Here are the details of this program: Horticulture Workshop to be organized from February 7 to 9, 2025, at Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Udyan & Zoo, Byculla (East), Mumbai. This workshop is expected to make people aware of the values of horticulture in our lives. The ticket price is Rs 1000/- for the entire course.

The 3-day workshop has been designed for gardening enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone keen to learn about sustainable gardening. Here’s what participants can explore during the workshop: Creating beautiful butterfly gardens, artistic cut flower arrangements, bonsai and ikebana techniques, building terrariums and growing microgreens, houseplant care and waste management, and medicinal and aromatic plants, sustainable gardening for climate change mitigation.

Practical guidance will be given to all the participants through experts regarding the development of horticulture or kitchen gardens. After the completion of the workshop, they will get a certificate from BMC.
