Idukki: Munnar, also dubbed the ‘Kashmir of Kerala,’ has been celebrating the beautiful Easter lily season, right after the vibrant jacaranda blooms. Besides this, flower lovers have wonderful news. The Munnar Flower Festival is all set to take place from May 1 to 10, and the location of this vibrant event will be at the Government Botanical Garden on Devikulam Road.
The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has been organizing the event this year, promising it to be the biggest ever floriculture show in Munnar. Nature enthusiasts and visitors will get an opportunity to witness more than 400 varieties of flowers and plants. Imported and overseas species will also be displayed in this show. Highlights of the show include stunning azaleas, beautiful rose varieties, exotic orchids, and bright anthuriums.

The garden is replete with over one lakh plants, and during the period of the flower show, it will take the shape of a floral paradise. Besides this, arrangements have also been made for cultural programmes and a mini riverside beach, musical fountain, and selfie spot have also been created to bring the festive mood alive.
The flower show will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm, and the price of tickets is Rs 100 and 50 for adults and children, respectively. The Munnar Flower Show is ready to welcome everyone from nature lovers to a layperson visitor. It would be a perfect place for everyone to enjoy some time with their friends and families in the natural environment.
