Nagpur Garden Club gears up to host 121st annual flower show

Nagpur: Flower shows have been organized across the country. Nagpur is not behind in it. In view of this, the Nagpur Garden Club (NGC) has been preparing to organize the 121st annual flower show from January 12 at Kusumtai Wankhede Hall, North Ambazari Road. Two more shows have been included in this event, such as the 48th Cacti & Succulent Show and the 40th Dahlia and Gladioli Show. It is being organized in memory of Leelatai Subhedar, a former president of the club.

The show is set to be unveiled at 11:30 am and remain open for visitors till 8 pm. School children can enjoy the floral exhibition free. Numerous competitions are going to be held in this year’s event, including the annual garden competition, flower arrangement, and flower decoration contests. Focus will be given on the promotion of home gardening, like terrace gardens and balcony gardens. The event is set to encourage creative gardening as well.

Nagpur Garden Club office has been distributing entry forms, and January 10 is the last date for the submission of the form. The floral carpet competition is set to be the main attraction this year for school children. School students have designed floral carpets that will be exhibited at the venue. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to all the deserving participants.

This show is likely to be a delightful event for nature and flower lovers. Visitors will get a chance to see the varieties of flowers of vibrant colours and floral designs.
