National Horticulture Fair 2025 to be held in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, is set to host the National Horticulture Fair (NHF) 2025 from February 27 to March 1, 2025. Organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-IIHR, this event will focus on the theme “Horticulture for Viksit Bharat – Nutrition, Empowerment, and Livelihood.”

The fair will showcase over 250 stalls featuring the latest horticultural innovations, technologies, and products developed by ICAR-IIHR and other organizations. Visitors can learn about crop improvement, crop production, protection techniques, post-harvest management, value addition, and modern farming tools.

The event aims to: Promote nutrition by introducing nutritionally rich crops and varieties. Empower farmers, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing them with valuable knowledge and resources. Enhance farmer livelihoods through innovations that improve productivity, income, and sustainability.

NHF 2025 will feature live demonstrations, expert sessions, and networking opportunities for farmers, researchers, students, and industry professionals. Attendees will gain first-hand experience of cutting-edge horticultural technologies and learn how to apply them in real-world farming practices.

The previous NHF 2024 event attracted over 70,000 participants, including farmers, farm women, and young agripreneurs, who actively engaged in discussions, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

The organisers of NHF 2025 believe that this event will drive innovation, encourage collaboration, and empower stakeholders in the horticulture sector. It is a step toward building a sustainable, productive, and prosperous India.
