Natural tips: Protect plants through homemade pesticides

Lucknow: During summer plants dry up due to lack of water, and pests increase their attacks as well, harming roots, leaves, and stems of plants. In this situation plants don’t grow properly. It is essential to take proper care of plants; otherwise, they may be ruined. Several natural steps are essential to keep the plants green and healthy. This way anyone can protect their plants effectively.

The most important thing is to check the underside of the leaves and stems and never allow pests to penetrate. If any spots are detected, then remove them by hand or use neem oil, which is a powerful organic pesticide. Mix 5–10 ml of neem oil in 1 liter of water, then spray once or twice a week.

Homemade spray can also be made by crushing garlic, ginger, and chili and mixing them with water. These natural pesticides protect plants from dangerous insects. This makes the plants stronger and less prone to pest attacks.

It is necessary to avoid overwatering because excess moisture attracts fungus and pests. Plants should be watered as per their requirements. Spacing is essential. It prevents pest growth and keeps plants healthy as well. Marigold, tulsi (basil), or mint stop insects naturally. Partial shading is essential for plants, so keep them away from sunlight. They need some light so that plants can remain healthy and pest-free.
