Nature lovers turn to NBRI’s floral extravaganza

Lucknow: CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) Lucknow organized the two-day Chrysanthemum and Coleus Flower Show. The colorful event came to an end on Sunday. The event took place at the lush green fields of NBRI. A huge number of flower enthusiasts and nature lovers turned out on Sunday to see the colorful exhibition of different varieties of flowers.

The event showcased different kinds of stunning flowers and plants. The attendees got an experience to see the beauty of different flowers. The closing ceremony occurred at the institute’s open-air theater, where winners received the award for their exceptional entries. The chief guest for the event, Mahendra Kumar Gupta, Joint Secretary (Administration), CSIR, along with Aditya Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, North-Eastern Railway, presented the awards to the winners. Ranjeeta Agrawal bagged the prestigious Director General Trophy, awarded for the highest score in the show.

More than three dozen prizes were distributed across various categories, recognizing the devotion and passion of the participants. The event was successfully held, for now only showcasing the spectacular display of chrysanthemums and coleus, but it encourages the visitors regarding gardening and floriculture. The nature-loving people got a huge experience, and they are expected to promote horticulture and flower farming in their respective regions. Besides this, visitors left with fond memories and inspiration to nurture their own gardens as well.
