Nursery Today: Embarking on a Digital Era

It is like our dream come true when Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate change & Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey Ji launched the Nursery Today Portal on 15th March 2022 at Krishi Bhawan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road New Delhi-110001. With us, many eyes were dreaming of such a platform for many years, where we can find all related information with one click. I am in the nursery industry for many years and I truly understand how difficult it is to find the correct information and referenced details to a beginner or to get some information for the extension of the business. I also know what subject Experts’ comments or feedback mean to those who work in the same field or do business of the same. The success story or expert talk not only motivate the nursery people but also help them to avoid those mistakes generally people do and save themselves from huge losses. The dynamics of the Nursery business is changing every day and, in such a scenario, keeping updated on related information, policy, mandate or research is a must. And Nursery Today (www.nurserytoday.co.in) is the key to all these issues. Nursery Today Portal is a key to all the challenges related to the horticulture field, forest nurseries, landscaping businesses.
Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey Ji gave ample time to launch the Nursery Today Portal and discussed in brief. He found this portal very useful and beautifully designed. In his speech, at the time of launch, he emphasized the importance of plants. He appreciated all nursery people for doing their noble job and contributing to the conservation of the environment. He said planting trees is the best key for environmental protection and conservation. He also shared his childhood memories of his personal experience of aloe vera and a few other herbal plants. He said that the Nursery Today Portal will promote Prime Minister Modi’s campaign of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said the nursery sector will know about opportunities we have to motivate people to work for everyone’s dream “Har medh par pedh”. (हर मेढ़ पर पेड़). He congratulated the Indian Nurserymen Association for such a great initiative. In the last session of his speech, he wish “Jaha’n na jaye ravi, waha’n jaye nursery portal ki chhavi” (जहां न जाए रवि वहा जाए नर्सरी पोर्टल की छवि) and gave a message to all to work for “humara ghar, hara ghar, bhara ghar” (Our house, green house, full house) (हमारा घर, हरा घर, भरा घर)
INA hosted this event. From INA, I, YP Singh (President), Mr. Mukul Tyagi (Gen. Sec.), Mr. Mukesh Sharma (Treasurer), Mr. Sarvesh Mishra (Director Environment, Honorary), Mr. Rajeev Suri (Director PR, Honorary), Dr. Ashok Yadav (Joint Secretary, Haryana State Chapter), Mr. Deepanshu Saini (Member, Haryana State Chapter), Mr. Om Prakash (Go for Greenery), Mr. Vijay Sharma (JMD Coir root) were there at the event. The event was a big success. During the event, I briefed about the Portal, how it will help all the nurserymen all over the country and around the globe with all the needed information related to the nursery industry and allied fields. It is easily accessible and is one click away.
INA has tried to bridge the gap between information and people regarding the nursery industry.
The portal also has the views and experiences from prominent personalities of the industry to learn and get benefitted from it. This portal will enhance the reach of the nurseries.
