On July 14, Bengaluru Will Host the National Conference of State Agriculture and Horticulture Ministers

At this conference, the Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare would launch the e-NAM Platform of Platform to advance the exchange and advertising of rural produce to get farmers better costs for agrarian products.

The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India is hosting a two-day National Conference of State Agriculture and Horticulture Ministers in Bengaluru on the 14th & 15th July 2022 to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

During the conference, technical sessions will be held on 9 thematic areas, including Digital Agriculture, Pradhanmantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Natural Farming, FPO, e-NAM, Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, National Food Security Mission, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, and New Technology by ICAR.

A separate session on best practices in agriculture and allied sectors adopted in various states across the country would be integrated with the technical sessions.
Through this farmers’ digital access and reach will improve and they can connect to a large number of markets and can also bring transparency to their respective trade transactions. The goal will be to improve price discovery mechanisms for better prices of farm products.

As a Platform of Platforms, e-NAM will help advance the effective “One Nation, One Market” system. This conference is being held to honour the 75th commemoration of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ which is a stage toward building an independent/ self-reliant India.
