PCMC’s 27th Garden Exhibition and Competition This March

New Delhi: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is gearing up to host the 27th edition of its highly anticipated Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Garden Exhibition and Competition. Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 3, 2024, this event promises to be a vibrant celebration of gardening and horticulture enthusiasts from across the region.

In this festival, various programs have been organized for environmental conservation and public awareness. Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh has appealed to the city dwellers to participate in this festival.

On 1st March, the inauguration ceremony will be held at 10:30 am at Mayor Niwas, Nigdi Authority. The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities and programs. In the evening, there will be a musical performance by Uday Ramdas, followed by an interview with Bhagwan Rampure. The event will be graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, State Cooperation Minister Dilip Valse-Patil, MP Supriya Sule, and many others. Their attendance highlights the importance of the exhibition in promoting horticulture and gardening in the region.

On 2nd March, Achut Palav will showcase live calligraphy, Sachin Punekar will offer guidance on singing performance, and there will be a lecture on the existence of ancient garden art at the exhibition.

On 3rd March, there will be a poetry event focusing on “Nature Poetry,” a guide on caring for roses after planting by Ravindra Bhide, and a prize distribution ceremony at the exhibition.

In addition to the displays, the event will also include workshops and seminars on gardening and horticulture providing valuable insights and tips for enthusiasts looking to enhance their skills.
